The Australian dollar has fallen against its US counterpart Monday and is buying 71.59 US cents from 72.06 US cents at Friday’s close.

One Australian dollar buys 80.22 Japanese yen, from 80.64 ; 61.59 euro cents, from 61.56 ; 54.78 British pence, from 54.94 and 109.18 NZ cents, from 109.41.
