The Australian dollar has fallen to 69.75 US cents, compared to the 70.31 US cents seen yesterday.

The change can be partially attributed to the resumption of trade talks between the United States and China, which sent the US dollar index to the highest point in more than a week.

The Aussie dollar buys $1.04 New Zealand dollars, 75.6 Japanese yen, 4.786 Chinese yuan renminbi, 55.18 British pence, and 61.82 Euro cents.
