Australasian Catalogue Awards open

CatalogueThe Australasian Catalogue Association (ACA) is calling for nominations for its 24th annual awards night.

This year sees the introduction of two new award sub categories. Under the ‘Sustainability’ category, an award for promoting as a not for profit charity, not for profit, awareness campaigns, and public information has been introduced.

Under ‘Excellence in Craft’ a new award category, best in class, has been added. The award for Judges Choice is an open entry this year and will be awarded at 100 per cent judge’s discretion.

Kellie Northwood, executive director at the ACA, said the annual awards provided an opportunity for retailers, marketers, and creative designers to celebrate the innovation, diversity, and success of catalogues.

“Catalogue marketing is a highly effective media and the awards give agencies and clients the chance to have their strategies, concepts, creative, design, and styling recognised,” she said.

The awards night will be held at Crown Palladium on Friday, August 21, with comedian Dave Thornton acting as master of ceremonies.

Judging in Sydney will take place from June 18 to 20 and in Melbourne from June 23 to 27. Award entries close on Monday, June 1.
