Online fashion retailer, Stylerunner’s founder Julie Stevanja was named Young Retail Entrepreneur of the Year at the World Retail Awards in Dubai last night.
“Disruption is a driving force at Stylerunner – being recognised for this is a great honour,” said Stevanja. “To be awarded Young Retail Entrepreneur of the Year and included in such a prestigious event as the World Retail Congress is an enormous compliment to our team.”
The Sydney-based startup was recently listed on the Deloitte Tech Fast 50 Rising Star and BRW Fast Starters List.
“We’ve created a retail experience which is fresh, innovative and constantly pushing boundaries. I’m incredibly proud of that.”
The award ‘honours the new generation of entrepreneurs who have challenged and disrupted the long-established retail industry.’ Past winners of the category include Founder and CEO of Missguided.com, Nitin Passi.
Stevanja has recently achieved a raft of personal successes, having been a finalist for the Veuve Clicquot New Generation Award 2016 and winning the B&T Women in Media Technology Award 2015.
The World Retail Awards were held last night in Dubai.
