Aussie retailer gets World Retail Award nod

stylerunner ChristmasOnline fashion retailer, Stylerunner’s founder Julie Stevanja was named Young Retail Entrepreneur of the Year at the World Retail Awards in Dubai last night.

“Disruption is a driving force at Stylerunner – being recognised for this is a great honour,” said Stevanja. “To be awarded Young Retail Entrepreneur of the Year and included in such a prestigious event as the World Retail Congress is an enormous compliment to our team.”

The Sydney-based startup was recently listed on the Deloitte Tech Fast 50 Rising Star and BRW Fast Starters List.

“We’ve created a retail experience which is fresh, innovative and constantly pushing boundaries. I’m incredibly proud of that.”

The award ‘honours the new generation of entrepreneurs who have challenged and disrupted the long-established retail industry.’ Past winners of the category include Founder and CEO of, Nitin Passi.

Stevanja has recently achieved a raft of personal successes, having been a finalist for the Veuve Clicquot New Generation Award 2016 and winning the B&T Women in Media Technology Award 2015.

The World Retail Awards were held last night in Dubai.
