Online retail giant, Amazon.com, plans to open its first brick and mortar store in the US.
To be located in Manhattan, the store is expected to open before Christmas and will function as a mini-warehouse, with limited inventory for same day delivery within New York, product returns and exchanges, and pickups of online orders, reports the Wall St Journal.
According to the Journal, the address for the store is 7 West 34th Street, across from the Empire State Building, however, specific details about the site including size, length of the lease, or amount of inventory to be housed there are not yet known.
