Aldi opens five new stores in South Australia

aldiAldi have today opened five new stores in South Australia, following its launch within the state last month.

“We have been delighted with the community’s response to our first stores opening in South Australia last month,” said Aldi South Australia MD, Viktor Jakupec. “We received an overwhelmingly positive response from customers, with people coming from as far as the Yorke Peninsula.”

The new stores, located at Mount Barker, St Agnes, Modbury, Noarlunga and Kilburn, have adopted Aldi’s new store format. This includes redesigned shelving, expanded wooden produce bays, energy efficient LED lighting and chillers.

Aldi have also launched a recruitment drive and looking for 55 store assistants to support its upcoming store rollout.

“We have been listening to existing customer feedback on the eastern seaboard and believe these upgrades will make it even easier and more enjoyable for South Australians to shop with us,” said Jakupec.

Aldi said it is committed to opening up to 50 stores in South Australia, with a total of 16 stores expected to be open by the end of 2016.

“We look forward to opening this next round of stores and helping even more South Australians discover the benefits ALDI can bring to their wallets and their lifestyles.” said Jakupec.
