Retailers with multiple properties may soon find it easier to manage lease documents and spot errors, thanks to the use of artificial intelligence-powered platforms. LeaseInfo last week launched Accurait, an advanced digital lease extraction platform that automates the coordination of documents and data to ensure users are compliant with the various accounting, administrative and legal requirements associated with renting and maintaining properties. One of the first retailers to adopt the tec
chnology is Swarovski, whose head of market development for Australia and New Zealand, Rachel Bessis, estimates the new platform is saving the business at least 30 minutes per lease in uploading time and eliminating the need for staff to reread contracts, saving hours.
“When multiplied over the typical lease term of five years and across our whole portfolio, the savings in productivity and costs are
significant,” she said.
Accurait is currently available only in Australia, but LeaseInfo anticipates it will launch the software internationally in 2019.
