Fashion retailer Ralph Lauren opened an e-commerce store in Australia today, offering its labels Polo Ralph Lauren, Ralph Lauren Home, kids wear and its latest collections.

The e-store features a virtual fitting platform called Virtusize designed to help shoppers compare sizes, try items virtually and create an online wardrobe.

It also offers a gifting service that includes a personalised message wrapped in silk paper arranged in a Ralph Lauren box and tied with a ribbon.

The online store will add shoes and accessories in the future and ships goods nationwide.

The company will open a brick-and-mortar store at Chadstone, Melbourne, on April 4.
