Dan Murphy’s MD to seek new Endeavour in the UK Dan Murphy’s MD Alex Freudmann has resigned from the role to return home to his native UK with his family. Steve Donohue, MD & CEO of parent Endeavour Group, announced Freudmann’s decision today but he will remain in the role for six months while a replacement is found and a transition completed. “Since joining Dan Murphy’s, Alex has not only helped to successfully navigate the business through an incredibly disruptive two years during the Covid pandemic, he has been instrumental in driving the innovation and modernisation now synonymous with the Dan Murphy’s brand.”
Freudmann said it had been a privilege to lead Dan Murphy’s over the past two years.
“I believe I am leaving the Dan Murphy’s business in a position of strength and with an exciting future ahead.”
Flybuys brings on new Cyber Security lead
Loyalty program Flybuys has hired Daisy Wong (pictured) as its new Security Culture and Awareness Lead: a role which will see Wong responsible for building up the business’ security culture to keep Flybuy’s 8 million members safe.
Wong previously operated as the Cyber Culture and Engagement Lead for the Victorian Government’s Department of Premier and Cabinet, where she built more resilient cyber defences for the State Government’s divisions.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the Flybuy’s team during an exciting period for the business,” Wong said.
“This opportunity to build on the amazing culture and support Daryl [Harding, Head of IT Security] and the team to protect team members and customers is something I’m really passionate about.”
Coca-Cola’s new ASEAN VP of marketing
Coca-Cola has named Mattias Blume as the business’ new Vice President of Marketing for the ASEAN and South Pacific region.
Blume is a seasoned veteran of the marketing industry, having spent the past 21 years at Coca-Cola and a further 4 at South African food business Danone.
“Mattias brings a tremendous passion for marketing and people, plus a superb knowledge of our bottling system,” said Claudia Lorenzo, president of Coca-Cola ASEAN and South Pacific.
“He also brings a combination of consumer centricity, marketing curiosity, and business acumen – strengths we need and value deeply in our marketing organisation.”
Marketplacer hires Chief Technology Officer
E-commerce tech platform Marketplacer has hired Tal Rotbart to serve as its new Chief Technology Officer.
Marketplacer’s technology needs have increased as the business has grown in size, said founder Jason Wyatt.
“[Rotbart] has terrific skills from his experience at high-growth internet companies where he was instrumental,” Wyatt said. “We’re thrilled to have him.”
Rotbart has more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry, and will be responsible for planning out the global technology of the Marketplacer platform.
“Marketplacer has a really exciting vision, a people and customer-obsessed focussed culture and an inspiring leadership team aiming to bring growth to every e-commerce business of the planet,” Rotbart said.
