Before joining Octomedia, Joyce was with The Peninsula English Newspaper in Qatar, The Philippine Daily Inquirer and ABS-CBN Europe. After getting her journalism degree in the Philippines, she took a course at the Sorbonne University in Paris on Langue et Civilisation Française.
